Just a reminder that World O’ Crap’s Annual Christmas Movie Review will be posted Christmas morning.  In the meantime, here’s a classic bit of Americana in the form of the Coca-Cola’s iconic Santa Claus, first drawn by Michigan illustrator Haddon Sundblom in 1931:

Sundblom continued working in the Kringle medium for another four decades, and we leave you for the moment with one of his last Santas, a taut and jolly young elf who graced the cover of Playboy magazine in 1972:

Make Love, Not War on Christmas.

See you tomorrow.  And if anyone’s looking for a way to dispose of those last few holiday season pennies, you could do worse than to click on the PayPal link to the left and contribute to s.z.’s Home Game version of Daktari!

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…

Merry Christmas to those who celebrate, and happy the-stores-are-all-closed-on-a-weekday-dammit to the rest of you.

Happy whatever everyone.

Happy Christmas to those of you who celebrate and Happy Holidays to the pagans.

Happy Drink-&-Eat-All-Day day! It’s a beautiful, sunny, snow-covered Christmas card kind of day here in Caucus city, the squirrels and the birds are happily eating the bird seed outside my window, the cat is doing everything in her power to annoy me . . . in short, a perfect holiday. Oh, and I’m eating espresso chip ice cream for breakfast.

Slainte!

And just remember, the days are getting longer now . . .

Merry Christmas guys!

Hm, that train on Santa’s lap…it moved!
